City to Host Information Sessions on Summer Job Opportunities

In January, the City of Raleigh will hold two information sessions about summer job opportunities with the City for college and high school students.

The information sessions will consist of small group presentations about specific summer jobs and the application process. Conducting the presentations will be representatives from the City’s Human Resources and Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources departments and the Raleigh Summer Youth Program.

The information sessions are scheduled for:

  • Jan. 4 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Laurel Hills Community Center, 3808 Edwards Mill Road.
  • Jan. 9 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Raleigh Pathways Center, 900 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27601.

The City of Raleigh employs 700 to 800 college and high school students each summer. The most common jobs filled are lifeguard, camp counselor, recreation instructor, recreation leader, cashier and Raleigh Summer Youth Program participant.
