Traffic Alert: Crabtree Pipeline Project to Close Portion of Hodges Street

[Alert]News posted Jul. 07, 2017 - 9:15 am

Beginning on Monday, July 10, the City of Raleigh will close the 1200-1400 blocks of Hodges Street between Atlantic Avenue and Capital Boulevard for rock excavation work associated with the Crabtree Pipeline Project. The Crabtree Pipeline Project is one of the city’s Capital Improvement Projects.

Parts of the closure will remain in place until September 2017, though portions of Hodges Street will be reopened as soon as pipeline work is complete in specific areas and traffic can safely pass. Access to local businesses will be maintained at all times.

Laurelbrook Street will generally be available for detour purposes. Additional detour options for Capital Boulevard traffic include Old Louisburg Road and Atlantic Avenue.

Motorists should avoid this area if possible or follow the posted detour signage.

Customers in this area should not experience any interruption of service. If service interruptions are necessary, residents will be notified in advance.
