The Active Adult Program serves thousands of adults in the Raleigh area. While our clubs require a minimum age of 50 to participate, classes are open to all adults regardless of age.

Some of the many activities offered include:

  • More than 25 one-day and overnight trips each year including cruises and international travel
  • Educational seminars and workshops on a wide range of topics
  • Exercise and wellness classes
  • Art classes
  • And more!

Raleigh Parks offers a variety of Active Adult programs throughout the year. Exercise and wellness, new languages, dance and music, cards and games, sports, and social activities are all available through Raleigh. With such a variety, you are certain to find a class!

The Active Adult Program staff organize numerous trips throughout the year. In addition to monthly one-day and seasonal multi-day trips, the Active Adult Program partners with the Outdoor Recreation Program to offer Social Outdoor Active Recreation trips. Golden Years Clubs

There are more than 30 clubs affiliated with the Adult Program. These clubs meet at area community centers, churches, and senior housing facilities, and offer a range of activities such as bridge, speakers, trips, community service projects, and more. Clubs are comprised of persons aged 50 or older.

Wake County Senior Games
