Read and Go Program

News posted May 16, 2018 - 3:26 pm

Join us and travel to Winston-Salem and Clayton for two book discussions and trips in July. Join the Adult Program for the "Besieged" trip to Winston-Salem on July 11. Witness cutting-edge technology in the nanotechnology labs at Wake Forest University and learn more about drones while at the Center for Design Innovation. This promises to be an interesting trip even if you did not read the book, "Besieged," by A.J. Tata.

On July 17, we will stay in nearby Clayton for the trip relating to "Sweet Southern Hearts" by Susan Schild. See sites that are mentioned in the book while the author rides along to discuss and answer questions. This trip also involves a tour of the Johnston Regional Airport with a visit from the Duke Life Flight and Civil Air Patrol, plus lunch at Holt Lake Barbeque, a stop at Pauper's Books and More, and a tour at Camping World.
