Select Athletic Fields Rest for Winter

The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department is resting selected fields during the winter. The goal is to prevent winter damage so that we can provide the citizens with healthy, resilient fields that are safe for play in the spring.

The following fields will be closed from Dec. 11 through Feb. 12, 2018:
Multi-purpose Fields Closed

  • Halifax
  • Kiwanis (Fields 1 and 2)
  • Method Road

Ball Fields Closed

  • Biltmore Hills (Field 2)
  • Carolina Pines (Fields 1 and 3)
  • Cedar Hills
  • Green Road (Field 2)
  • Honeycutt
  • Jaycee (Fields 2 and 3)
  • Lake Lynn
  • Laurel Hills (Field 1)
  • Lions Park (Fields 1, 2, and 4)
  • Marsh Creek
  • Millbrook Exchange (Fields 1 and 2)
  • North Hills
  • Oakwood (Field 2)
  • Optimist (Fields 1 and 3)
  • Pullen (Field 1)
  • Sanderford Road (Field 1)
  • Spring Forest
