Dorothea Dix Park Invitational High School Cross Country Event

The Dorothea Dix Park Invitational will be presented by the City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department in partnership with the Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Chip timing and results will be provided by Rhodes Race Timing.

Welcome to the inaugural Dorothea Dix Park Invitational High School Cross Country event held on the campus of Raleigh's newest destination park. The course has been laid out on the "Big Field" portion of the park affording excellent spectator views of the races. The course layout reflects the rolling Piedmont topography of the area with a grass running surface.

The event is open to any high school team with runners in grades 9-12. This first-year event will be limited to the first 20 teams registered.

7:45 a.m. - course open to preview
8:30 a.m. - coaches meeting
9 a.m. - men's championship (up to 10 runners)
9:30 a.m. - women's championship (up to 10 runners)
10 a.m. - men's developmental (up to 10 runners)
10:30 a.m. - women's developmental (up to 10 runners)
11 a.m. - men's JV (remainder)
11:30 a.m. - women's JV (remainder)

Note: race director reserves right to move runners into Development races or combine JV races into one race dependent on the number of entries.

Awards to begin at the conclusion of women's development race.

Team-trophies 1st through 3rd
Individual-medals 1st through 10th
Team-trophies 1st and 2nd
Individual-medals 1st through 7th
JV: Individual-medals 1st through 3rd.

Custom designed T-shirts available for purchase the day of meet.

Deadline for Entry: Aug. 31

Entry fee:
$20 per athlete representing their school/ $70 per team or a $120 for a combined men and women's team.
