Durant Nature Preserve Lake To Be Drained During Dam Repair

News posted Sep. 05, 2018 - 6:00 am

In October, repairs will begin on Durant's lower lake dam. As a result, the lake will be drained for a period of approximately four months in order for repairs to be made. During that time, there will be no general public access connecting the north and south sides of the preserve via the dam service road. The south and north sides of the Preserve can be accessed via White House Road and/or the Border Trail. Both parking lots will be open during construction.
