Open Play Volleyball
Bring your friends, practice your moves, make a new friends, prepare for leagues, and stay active. Come join us every Tuesday night from 6:30 PM– 8:30 PM for open play volleyball. No reservations are necessary the court will available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This class offers low-impact exercises for adults 50 and over. Strengthen muscles and improve your movement for a healthier lifestyle. The goal of this class is to improve balance, flexibility and strength through stretching, light weights, and aerobic activity. Please call 919-831-6505 for the weekly schedule. Held every Wednesday and Friday morning at 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM. Course fee: $0

Yoga—Gentle Yoga for Beginners
The yoga poses and exercises will be done standing, sitting in a chair, leaning against the wall for support and/or using a floor mat. Each class also incorporates yoga breathing to help improve lung capacity, focus and a period of deep relaxation and meditation. Held every Wednesday and Friday morning at 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM. Course fee: $0

Line Dance
You are invited to learn and follow the latest and all-time favorite line dances to urban contemporary, classic R&B/soul and country music. Lessons cover beginner through advanced line dances and improvisational dance techniques. Line dancing is a great form of exercise that is popular at social occasions. Held every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Cost per class is $5.

Qigong: Cultivating Improved Health
Age: All ages. Qigong (pronounced: chee-gong) postures promote energetic and internal organ health. This class offers the opportunity to engage in numerous therapeutic postures that utilize gentle, safe movements. Posture modifications can be made for those with physical limitations. In addition to the postures, there will be time dedicated to qigong breathing instruction, meditation and body energy flow discussions. Join the class and enjoy the benefits of improved health. Held every Monday and Thursday at 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Course fee: $0

Pickleball Workshop
Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Two, three or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net. Experienced volunteer players offer free workshops to players of all levels, from beginners with new or minimal knowledge of the game and rules to intermediate players who have developed consistency in their serves and returns with the ability to direct the ball. Clinic will be held: Thursday, February 16th– April 27th 10:30 AM -12:00 PM

Digital Literacy Adults
We're excited to offer six free computer classes for beginners. These hands-on classes will get you started using computers and the Internet. Plus information and skills that will help you get ahead. Upon completion, you have the opportunity to purchase a refurbished laptop computer for $150 from United Way's Teaming for Technology. You must complete all classes to qualify. Classes will be offered: Monday, April 3rd –May 8th 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Tarboro Road Computer Lab
Age: 21yrs and up. This Internet-enabled computer lab is available for public use. Patrons may also come in and check out a laptop to enjoy AT&T Google Fiber Wi-Fi in our front lobby. Registration and photo ID are required for participation. Computer Lab hours: Tuesday & Thursday 11:00 AM—3:00 PM Laptop Check-out hours: Monday-Friday 11 AM - 8:00 PM.

Ages: 13yrs and up. Zumba® dance fitness class combines rhythms of Latin and international music to make exercising fun! Zumba uses the basic steps of salsa, merengue, cha cha, reggeton, African dance, samba and more! No dance experience is necessary. Transform your body to a healthier you! Come join the party! Held every Sunday at 4:00 PM-4:45 PM. Course fee: $3

Preschool Open Gym
Age: 1-5yrs. The gym is your playground! Come meet other families in your community in a recreational setting. The gym will be open for parents and their young children. Bridge Club
Age: 18yrs. and up. Join fellow Bridge enthusiasts at this weekly afternoon club. Come and join a very competitive atmosphere for experienced players and have a lot of fun at the same time. Fees are $2 per person per meeting.

Youth and Family Movie Night
Come join us for a night of movie watching with your family and friends! We will provide the popcorn and a drink as well as an age-appropriate movie everyone will enjoy! Participants under 5 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Teen Outreach Program
Age: 13-17yrs. Every teenager wants and deserves a safe place to visit where the door is always open to them. The Teen Outreach Program (TOP) of the Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department offers such a place for our teenagers. Our mission is to provide a consistent positive alternative by providing recreational opportunities for youth. The program will focus on arts, athletics, and achievement. Program locations will be: Courtney T. Johnson, John Chavis, Green Road, Lions Park, Method Road, Tarboro Road, and Worthdale Community Centers weekdays from 3-6pm. The Community Afterschool Program is being offered at several local Community Centers for children K-6th grade following the Wake County Traditional school calendar. Exercise - Fitness Centers
Age: 18yrs. & up. Check out the fitness rooms around the city! Take advantage of the variety of cardiovascular and strength training equipment available around the city and get into shape. The fitness rooms will be open during normal center operating hours. Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Please see staff for additional information. Course Fee: $10
