News posted Aug. 16, 2018 - 1:51 pm

Are you a high school student interested in initiating, organizing, and executing programs and projects that benefit you? The Raleigh Youth Council (RYC) is a program led by teens for teens. The Raleigh Youth Council will begin its new session on Monday, Aug. 27 at Laurel Hills Community Center at 7 p.m.

RYC creates a forum where teens can freely express their ideas and opinions and serve as advocates for teens in Raleigh and Wake County. RYC focuses their involvement on civic engagement, leadership opportunities, community service, recreation, and fundraising as well as special events such as State Youth Council Conferences and other events that develop leadership qualities and help members realize their full potential.

The Raleigh Youth Council is a charter member of the Youth Councils of North Carolina. If you are interested in participating in different community service projects, need hours to fill a requirement for your school or other organization, or would just like to make some new friends, then come to one of our meetings or call to find out about upcoming events! Pre-registration is not required. We look forward to having you join us for an amazing year filled with fun opportunities with the 2018-2019 Raleigh Youth Council.
