Mini-Camp at Walnut Creek Wetland Center

News posted Jun. 14, 2018 - 4:54 pm

Why do we need fox urine for Trackers Mini-camp? Come and find out! Walnut Creek Wetland Park will have a week-long mini-camp for kids between the ages of 7 and 11. The camp is June 25 through June 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Caroline, an extraordinary natural science teacher, is working to make this fun and educational camp one your child will never forget!

Your child will spend a week in the wetland learning how to track animals and look for the signs they leave behind, while becoming immersed in a fascinating not-quite-hidden world existing just on the outskirts of downtown Raleigh, and getting up close and personal with our program animals.

Cost is $50/City of Raleigh residents; $65/non-residents

Kids should come dressed to spend time outdoors (don't worry, we have bug spray and sunscreen!) and bring a change of clothes, a lunch, and a water bottle. To register, call 919-996-2760 or go to Reclink and register for Barcode #224052
