Frog

Come meet Pudge, Walnut Creek Wetland Park's newest ambassador! Pudge is a Cope's Gray Tree Frog, hatched from eggs we collected after a late spring rain. As Pudge morphed from tadpole to froglet to tiny frog, it became apparent that he had no eyes. But that hasn't stopped him! He is a voracious eater when prey is tickled against his mouth. You can visit Pudge during regular center hours, Tuesday-Saturday 10am-dusk, and Sundays 1pm-dusk. And there is plenty more to do, free of charge, at Walnut Creek Wetland Park. The park is located at 950 Peterson Street, just a mile from downtown.
