Billy Graham Library
The Billy Graham Library trip scheduled for Friday, March 16 has been postponed by the venue due to the recent passing of Mr. Graham. The trip will be rescheduled and the new date will be posted on our website and sent by email.

Based on the popularity of this half-day trip back in time through Raleigh and the Civil War, more dates and times have been added to accommodate the demand.
April- Canoeing and Trails: Forest Ridge / Falls Lake
The Senior Outdoor Adventure Recreation (SOAR) program returns with a local trip. This trip, a collaborative effort with the Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Adventure Program, will provide the equipment and instuction you need to set out in a canoe and enjoy the water. After canoeing, enjoy the guided tour of the features that Forest Ridge Park at Falls Lake offers and enjoy a gentle hike.
May- Jordan Lake: Eco Boat Tour
Enjoy a guided pontoon boat tour and the wildlife of beautiful Jordan Lake followed by a nature and historical educational session along the lake's shores.
June- Kernersville: Körner’s Folly
Visit an architectural wonder and home of the artist and designer, Jule Gilmer Körner, grandson of the town's namesake, Joseph Kerner. Enjoy a guided tour of this 22 room house museum with unique doorways and windows and 15 decorated fireplaces.
"Miss Julia Paints the Town" / Hendersonville Overnight Trip
Hendersonville, NC is a picturesque town south of Asheville. Enjoy the town, the Henderson County Heritage Museum, Jump Off Rock and other sites on this trip May 22-23. Hendersonville is also the town in which the fictional Abbotsville is based on in the book, "Miss Julia Paints the Town". During this 2-day trip there will be an opportunity to talk with the author, Ann B. Ross, and to enjoy a driving and walking with her to tour of some of the sites from the book. Make sure to check out the plans for the August 2018 trip to Colorado. Leaving August 12, this trip will visit five national parks, a state park, the US Air Force Academy, a dinner and stage show, enjoy three train experiences and much more. A second informational meeting will be held at the Anne Gordon Center to learn more about the trip on Friday, April 13 at 3:45pm.
