Current Activity

Updated May 11

The City of Raleigh and our engineering design consultant, H.W. Lochner, have completed the design plans for the Tryon Road Widening Project, and there was a public meeting to show the details of the design plans and to receive public comment on May 10, at the Carolina Pines Community Center.

If you were unable to attend the meeting the two public meeting maps and the handout with comment sheet attached are linked below. We value contributions and suggestions about the plans, and the public is encouraged to complete the comment sheet. For comments to be considered in the final project design, we ask that they are returned no later than May 25.

History

The City of Raleigh previously widened the section of Tryon Road to the west of this project and recently NCDOT replaced the bridge at the eastern end of the project and realigned the roadway through the Renaissance Park area.
