Capital Improvement Program

Last updated Jun. 22, 2015 - 12:16 pm

The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is one element in the City's long-term planning process. It is a bridge between the City's Comprehensive Plan and short-term planning for infrastructure and operations. The City's Capital Improvement Program analyzes major facility and equipment needs, establishes priorities, estimates fiscal resources, and schedules the development of funded projects.

The Office of Transportation Planning is responsible for the transportation elements in the CIP, which include proposed new street improvements, transit infrastructure, bicycle & pedestrian accommodations, streetscape projects, and parking facilities.
