Construction for this project is underway. Current renovations to Fire Station 2 include making improvements to station bays; completing masonry, electrical and structural work; and converting the fire station to a pull-through style station to improve accessibility to and from the station.
The purpose of this project is to demolish and renovate approximately 6,384 square feet of the existing fire station, which is located at 263 Pecan Road in Raleigh. Renovations include improving interior spaces; replacing interior and exterior doors; creating a new pass-through vehicle access; painting the exterior; and installing new roofing, and sprinkler and fire alarm systems; and updating electrical, telecom, mechanical, and security systems.
