Traffic Alert: 4900-5300 Blocks of North Hills Drive Closed for Water and Sewer Line Replacement

On Monday, Jan. 29, the City of Raleigh will close the 4900 to 5300 blocks of North Hills Drive, between Kimberly Drive and Thayer Drive, to replace water and sewer lines. Work will be performed over the course of two months and is expected to be completed by Mar. 30, 2018. This water and sewer line replacement is one of the City’s Capital Improvement Projects.

North Hills Drive within this construction area will be accessible to local residents only and on street parking will be prohibited. Other motorists should avoid this area and follow the posted detour signage.

The following is a detour around the worksite:

  • Motorist traveling northbound on North Hills Drive turn right onto Northbrook Drive, left onto Rampart Street, left onto Cranbrook Road, left onto Shelley Road, and right onto North Hills Drive

  • Motorists traveling southbound on North Hills Drive turn left onto Shelley Road, right onto Cranbrook Road, right onto Rampart Street, right onto Northbrook Drive, and left onto North Hills Drive

Customers in this area should not experience any interruption of water and sewer services. If service interruptions are necessary, residents will be notified in advance.
