Public Meeting: Preliminary Plans
The City of Raleigh and our engineering design consultant, Kimley-Horn & Associates, have completed the preliminary plans for the project.
The City had a public meeting on Thursday, July 12 at the Laurel Hills Community Center. The public meeting began with a short presentation after which the design consultant and City staff was on hand to answer questions and receive comments from the surrounding community.

Blue Ridge Road Transit Map
The purpose of this project is to provide a functional and safer multi-modal corridor for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians along the Blue Ridge Road corridor from Duraleigh Road to Crabtree Valley Avenue.
The project will widen a segment of Blue Ridge Road from Duraleigh Road to Crabtree Valley Avenue to three lanes with;
- Curb and gutter
- Sidewalks on both sides of the roadway; and,
- Bicycle lanes.
